Inlaid Onyx Cross

I am very excited about this piece. I have been working on it for about a month now, waiting for the Lapidary to finish the cutting.

I ended up having to do the stone cutting myself, it’s been one of the hardest jobs I have had to date.

Fabrication

This is a citrine piece I did years ago, shortly after returning from the Revere Acadamy in San Fran. Metal fabrication in my opinion is the most rewarding work I can do. I guess I need to get back at it!

Checker Board

I did this quite a while ago, but I keep coming back to the picture remembering how much I liked it. I am told it has been lost, and its recipient was not getting any more custom jewelry for a while.. :-)

My Ring on CNN

My friend Dave Shayman (aka Disco D) was interviewed on CNN last week. He was nice enough to be wearing the ring I made him bearing his logo! Thanks D, even though I was about the only one that would notice…

“Just like that one”

Often a customer comes in with a handfull of rings, and says “I want to take all these, and make a ring just like that one” It’s rare when the stones in their rings combine to be able to pull it off, but sometimes, just sometimes, it works.

Large Oval Broach

The customer wanted a broach to both fit her large blue topaz oval, and match a beautiful pink tormaline ring that she already owned. I like where its headed and will post finished shots when it gets to that point.

Mens Wedding Band

A friend of mine had a ring like this when I first got into the trade. I have always wanted to do my own interpretation of it, and I finally got the chance.

Opal Bracelet

A customer brought me a beautiful Boulder Opal and wanted it put into a bracelet to match a necklace. After searching for a while we found a prefabbed bangle that was sturdy enough to be cut into, and at the price point we where trying to hit. Here is the result.

Carving Some Wax

I love custom work, especially when I get to carve a wax. This one will have princess cut saphires and 3mm round diamonds alternating down a channel in the center row, and 2 outer rows of bead set diamonds on either side. When it gets back from the caster I will put up some final photos.
Update…Done!

Wedding Band for Savvas

My friend Savvas is getting married today, I had all month to make his wedding band, so of course I started it on Tuesday :). No worries though, everything worked out perfectly, and he took delivery of both his and his new wife’s rings yesterday (Thanks Steve, for helping me out on that one). Savvas wanted a band where the center spun freely around the out side band, and thats what he got. I think it came out well, you?
