Opal Bracelet

A customer brought me a beautiful Boulder Opal and wanted it put into a bracelet to match a necklace. After searching for a while we found a prefabbed bangle that was sturdy enough to be cut into, and at the price point we where trying to hit. Here is the result.

Carving Some Wax

I love custom work, especially when I get to carve a wax. This one will have princess cut saphires and 3mm round diamonds alternating down a channel in the center row, and 2 outer rows of bead set diamonds on either side. When it gets back from the caster I will put up some final photos.
Update…Done!

Wedding Band for Savvas

My friend Savvas is getting married today, I had all month to make his wedding band, so of course I started it on Tuesday :). No worries though, everything worked out perfectly, and he took delivery of both his and his new wife’s rings yesterday (Thanks Steve, for helping me out on that one). Savvas wanted a band where the center spun freely around the out side band, and thats what he got. I think it came out well, you?

Well, that took way to long!

This was one of those jobs where everything that can go wrong, does.
From the caster only sending me 1 of the earrings, me not realizing excactly how brittle topaz is ;), and generally underestimating how much fabrication time would be involved. Well, its done now, time to move on.

Rings for the D

A very fast rising, musically inclined friend of mine Dave Shayman (aka Disco D) has commisioned me to make a run of rings based on a pinky ring I made for the man himself. As his fame increases bets are that his minions will want to sport a little bit of the D to help spread the word. Check out Dave’s site here, and keep an eye out for the name, this guy is going places.
